International Women’s Day
Allied Digestive Health is proud to have women physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and MSO leadership team members. Our diverse team allows us to treat all patients with their best interests in mind.
We want to take today to recognize our women team members who work endlessly to do right by our patients. As we bring light to International Women’s Day, let’s not forget the progress that has been made with the tremendous growth of women physicians. According to AAMC, one of the steadiest movements has been the rise in women as a percentage of the physician workforce: It rose from 28.3% in 2007 to 36.3% in 2020, according to the AAMC’s Physician Specialty Data Reports from 2008 to 2020: This growth is crucial to the industry to have an increasingly diverse provider population.
ADH is committed to being alongside this change by empowering women in clinical and leadership positions to work towards one common vision: to become nationally recognized by setting the standard of care in Gastroenterology through innovative healthcare delivery models in the communities we serve. We are thankful today and every day for the strives they make in gastroenterology care.
